CartSavvy is like having a very smart friend who instantly checks grocery prices on
5 different apps at once — and tells you exactly where to buy each item
to spend the least money. It even takes your credit or debit card cashback into account,
so the savings it shows you are real ones.
You still place your own orders on each app — CartSavvy just does all the
price-comparison homework for you in seconds. ✨
🧺 BigBasket
🛍️ Amazon Fresh
⚡ Amazon Now
🟡 Blinkit
🔵 Zepto
💡
No app to install, no account needed to get started. Just open your browser and go!
1
Open CartSavvy in your browser
Go to cartsavvy.vercel.app on your desktop or laptop.
(Chrome works best. Mobile browser support is coming soon.)
2
Type in your grocery items
In the item box, type what you want to buy. You can include the brand name and
size if you know them — that helps CartSavvy find the right match. Then set
how many you want, and press Add.
Some examples to try:
"Amul Butter 500g" · "cashews 500g" · "Surf Excel Matic 6kg"
"toor dal 1kg" · "Parle-G biscuits"
Add as many items as you like. Your full shopping list can go in at once!
3
Optional
Add your bank or credit cards
See the Offer Vault section? Type the name of any bank card you
use for groceries. Just the card name is enough — we never ask for your
card number, PIN, or any financial details.
Card name examples:
"SBI SimplySave" · "HDFC Regalia" · "Axis Flipkart"
CartSavvy uses this to factor in any cashback or discount you'd get — so the
final price it shows is what you'd actually pay.
4
Optional
Add any special preferences
Click "Additional Instructions" and type anything specific you
want CartSavvy to keep in mind while picking items for you.
Examples:
"prefer organic wherever possible"
"Amul brand only for dairy products"
"no store brands for atta"
5
Click "Find Best Split"
Hit the big Find Best Split button. CartSavvy will check all
5 stores at the same time and figure out the cheapest combination for your
entire list. This usually takes just a few seconds.
6
See your results and save money!
You'll get a clear breakdown showing which items to buy from which store,
your total cost, and how much you're saving.
🛒 Buy Amul Butter from BigBasket — ₹54 after SBI cashback
⚡ Buy Cashews from Blinkit — ₹189 (cheapest across all stores)
🧺 Buy Surf Excel from Amazon Fresh — ₹498
Total: ₹741
You save ₹87
You then open each app yourself and place the order — CartSavvy just tells
you where to go so you never overpay.
CartSavvy works without the extension — but the prices it shows are estimates.
Once you install the small browser extension, it reads live prices from
your own logged-in accounts, so what you see is exactly what you'd pay today.
❌ Without extension
Estimated prices — still helpful, but not exact
✅ With extension
Real-time prices from your live sessions — spot on
1
Open Chrome's Extensions page
In Chrome, look for the puzzle-piece icon 🧩 in the top-right corner of your
browser. Click it, then click "Manage Extensions" at the bottom
of the menu.
2
Turn on Developer Mode
On the Extensions page, look for a small toggle in the top-right corner
labelled "Developer Mode". Switch it on. Don't worry — this is just
how Chrome lets you install extensions from sources other than its store. It's safe
and you can turn it off again after installation.
3
Download the extension file
Go to this link and download the zip file:
https://github.com/suncirkles/cartsavvy-extension/raw/main/cartsavvy-extension.zip
It will land in your Downloads folder as a file called
cartsavvy-extension.zip
4
Unzip the file
Right-click the zip file in your Downloads folder and choose
"Extract All" (on Windows) or just double-click it (on Mac).
You'll get a folder called cartsavvy-extension.
Remember where you saved it — you'll need it in the next step.
5
Load the extension into Chrome
Back on Chrome's Extensions page, click the "Load Unpacked"
button (top-left). A file picker will open. Navigate to the
cartsavvy-extension
folder you just unzipped and click Select Folder.
You should now see "CartSavvy 1.0.0" appear as an enabled
extension. 🎉
6
Is it safe? Absolutely.
🔒 Here is exactly what the extension can and cannot do:
It can only read grocery prices on BigBasket, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Now, Blinkit,
and Zepto. It is automatically disabled on every other website — including
your bank. It cannot see your passwords, card numbers, or any
personal details. It reads product prices — nothing more.
7
Log in to the grocery apps (just once)
Open each of these websites in the same Chrome browser and log in to your account.
Also make sure your delivery address is set on each app, so prices
reflect what's actually available near you.
amazon.in
blinkit.com
zeptonow.com
bigbasket.com
You only need to do this once — Chrome will keep you logged in.
8
Do a quick test
Click the CartSavvy icon in your browser toolbar (top-right corner — it looks
like a small shopping cart). A small popup will appear. Type any grocery item,
like "cashews 500g", and click "Fetch Prices".
If you see prices listed from multiple stores — you're all set! The extension
is working perfectly. 🙌
CartSavvy works without an account, but signing up (it's just a Google login — one click)
gives you a few handy extras:
-
💾
Your shopping list is saved — pick up where you left off, even days later
-
💳
Card preferences remembered — no need to re-enter your cards every visit
-
🔄
Repeat last order in one click — great for monthly staples you always buy
-
🏪
Vendor preferences saved — if you always prefer one app for something, CartSavvy remembers
🖥️
Use a desktop or laptop. CartSavvy is a browser tool — it works
in Chrome on your computer. Mobile browser support is not available yet, but a
mobile app is coming soon.
🚀
No extension? No problem. You can try CartSavvy right now without
installing anything. The prices shown will be smart estimates — good enough to get
a feel for where things are cheapest. The extension just makes them precise.
📍
Set your delivery location on each app. Prices and availability
vary by area. Log in to each grocery app at least once and confirm your delivery
address so the prices CartSavvy finds are relevant to you.
🏷️
Include the size when you can. Typing "toor dal 1kg" is better
than just "toor dal" — it helps CartSavvy compare the same pack across stores,
not just the cheapest (and smallest) option available.
💰
Savings shown are real savings. CartSavvy calculates what you'd
actually pay after your card cashback — not a made-up "MRP vs. sale price"
comparison. The number it shows is what stays in your pocket.
🎉
You're all set!
That's everything you need to know. Open CartSavvy, type your grocery list,
and let it do the hard work. Most people find it pays for itself in savings
on their very first shop.
